The Government of Ukraine launches the national program “Made in Ukraine” to support domestic production

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to spread awareness about domestically produced products by approving the free use of the “Made in Ukraine” trademark for enterprises. This initiative is confirmed by Government Resolution No. 197.

The government also approved the image of the trademark “Made in Ukraine” and instructed the Ministry of Economy to apply for state registration of this trademark and develop a technical standard (brand book) based on it.Trademark "Made in Ukraine". Source: Cabinet of Ministers

The resolution recommends that all state bodies, local governments, enterprises, and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, use the trademark image in accordance with the approved technical standard (brand book).

“The use of the trademark image approved by this resolution by state bodies, local governments, enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership, is carried out free of charge,” the document states.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at the presentation of the “Made in Ukraine” platform, announced the future possibility for Ukrainians to receive partial compensation for the purchase of goods and services made in Ukraine. According to the President, this program is under development and is planned to be launched this year.

The government also announced the launch of the national platform “Made in Ukraine”, adopted a resolution on the promotion of Ukrainian-made goods, and approved the “Made in Ukraine” label. These actions are expected to lead to an increase in consumer demand by 0.14% of GDP, the creation of over 22,000 new jobs, and additional revenues to the budget in the amount of UAH 4 billion.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during the presentation of the national platform "Made in Ukraine". Shmyhal emphasized that the restoration and development of entrepreneurship is a priority for the government, and the "Made in Ukraine" program is a new means of interaction between the state and business.

This initiative is aimed at stimulating domestic demand for Ukrainian products and developing national production. It is important to note that this does not limit access to foreign goods, but provides entrepreneurs with incentives to enter the domestic and foreign markets. To achieve this goal, the government plans to use various tools to support domestic producers, including expanding the list of goods for state procurement and providing compensation for the purchase of Ukrainian equipment.
