Ukrainian singer Tina Karol surprised her fans with an unexpected confession - she has no friends in show business. The artist made the frank statement during a meeting with students of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
According to Karol, she herself deliberately refused close communication with her colleagues on stage. The singer explained that she has acquaintances, but she does not build real friendly relations with any of them. The reason for this choice, according to the artist, was the need for personal space and the desire to focus on self-knowledge.
“I am very lonely in this industry. I had to kill friendship, the call to see the good in people and be friends. I forbade myself from doing that. I have no friends. I have acquaintances,” said Karol.
The singer believes that it was loneliness that allowed her to maintain internal balance and focus on development: reading books, expanding her worldview, and protecting her personal space. She emphasizes that this strategy is her own conscious decision that helped her achieve professional success.
“If you ask me how I spend my evening, I'm alone. Then no one is spreading information about what I'm doing, and I have more time for self-discovery,” the singer added.
Karol also made it clear that her path is not about loud companies or public relations, but about silence, working on herself, and protecting her personal life. And although this sounds sad to many, the artist herself calls it the necessary price of success.
