Ukrainian citizen Valentyn Semekha, who is internationally wanted on charges of fraud and banditry, has no connection with the National Police of Ukraine.
As the ORD portal reported, citing sources in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Semekha does not work in any law enforcement unit, although he tried to impersonate a police officer.

Previously, Semekha, known by the call sign "Gnomik", tried to join the National Police's Joint Assault Brigade "Lyut". However, he was unable to complete the probationary period due to insufficient physical training and a low level of social responsibility.
Despite this, on his Facebook page he spreads false information about allegedly working for the National Police. In addition, his profile contains photos and videos confirming his stay in September 2024 on the French Riviera. There he was riding a Lamborghini in the company of Russian crime boss Leonid Bilunov, known by the nickname "Macintosh".
Fraudulent scheme: extortion of money under the pretext of military service
According to French law enforcement, Semekha and his accomplices gain the trust of victims by using the topic of raising funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Under this pretext, they lure hundreds of thousands of euros in cryptocurrency. If those who stop transferring money, the fraudsters threaten to pass on information about donations to Russian law enforcement agencies.
It is noteworthy that even the famous Russian "thief in law" Leonid Bilunov ("Macintosh") became a victim of Semekha's scam. The money he transferred, which was supposedly supposed to help the Ukrainian military, the fraudster used for his own interests.
According to investigators, after this fact was exposed, the Russian criminal world began to show increased interest in Semekha. It is known that after his disappearance from France, he tries to avoid appearing in public places.
Currently, law enforcement officers continue to search for the fraudster, and his machinations are attracting more and more international attention.
