The Ukrainian youth national hockey team achieved historic success by winning the Division 1B World Championship. This victory earned the team the right to advance to Division 1A, where Ukrainian hockey players will be able to compete for a place among the elite of world hockey.
At the tournament held in Tallinn, Estonia, Andriy Sryubko's players demonstrated brilliant results, winning all five matches in regular time and scoring the maximum 15 points.

- Ukraine – Estonia: 8:1
- Ukraine – Poland: 3:0
- Ukraine – Italy: 6:5
- Ukraine – South Korea: 5:2
Ukrainian hockey players returned to Division 1A for the first time in 13 years. The last time our team played in this division was in 2012.
The national team's top scorers were the forwards who play in the Czech Republic:
- Ilarion Kupriyanov (HK “Dukla”)
- Rodion Koida (HK “Paruba”)
Both hockey players scored four goals each, significantly helping the team achieve its goal.
In 2025, in Division 1A, the “blue and yellow” will have to face much stronger opponents:
- Austria
- Slovenia
- France
- Hungary
- The team that will be relegated from the elite division following the 2025 World Cup.
This success is an important step in the development of Ukrainian hockey, as moving up in class allows you to compete with more competitive opponents, gain experience, and raise the level of play.
