Former director of the Yemilchyn Forestry Branch of the State Enterprise Forests of Ukraine, Bohdan Vasyukhnyk, who is involved in a corruption case, has filed a declaration that raises serious questions. His unemployed wife, Ivanna Vasyukhnyk, declared $56,000 in cash.
This is despite the fact that the woman is officially unemployed and received only 14 thousand hryvnias for the entire year of 2024 - in particular, 10.3 thousand hryvnias in social payments from the social policy department of the Lutsk City Council and 3.8 thousand hryvnias from renting property to the Amila farm.
Bohdan Vasyukhnyk himself earned 158 thousand hryvnias in 2024 at the Bilokorovytske Forestry Branch and 380 thousand at the Yemilchyn Forestry Farm. In total, a little more than half a million hryvnias.
Despite this, the largest amounts of cash were recorded for his wife — 350 thousand hryvnias and 56 thousand dollars. While the official himself declared only 142 thousand hryvnias and 5 thousand dollars. The sources of these funds are not specified.
Ivanna Vasyukhnyk also owns an apartment and a 312 sq.m. land plot in the city of Kovel, Volyn region. The date of acquisition and the value of the real estate are not specified in the declaration. The declarant himself explained this by the fact that his wife allegedly did not provide the relevant information.
As for movable property, the declaration only includes an old VAZ 210994-20 (2007), which Bohdan Vasyukhnyk bought in 2019 for 70 thousand hryvnias.
