The Chairman of the Committee on Rules of Procedure, Deputy Ethics and Organization of Work of the Verkhovna Rada, Serhiy Kalchenko, stated that the decision of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence to recall the deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction, Maryana Bezugla, from the position of deputy chairman of the relevant committee is only a legislative initiative.
"A committee where a deputy holds the position of deputy has the right to initiate its own decision and submit a proposal to recall the committee chairman. Such a proposal is formalized in the form of a draft resolution, which can be submitted to parliament," he explained.
Kalchenko added that currently the relevant draft resolution from the National Security Committee has not been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
"If this project is registered in parliament, the regulatory committee will be responsible for its consideration," he noted.
It is important to note that the decision to dismiss from office is made by voting on the relevant draft resolution in the hall.
The Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence recommends that the Verkhovna Rada dismiss Mariana Bezugla, a deputy from the Servant of the People faction, from the position of deputy chairwoman of the relevant committee.
