This week, weather contrasts will persist in Ukraine: the western regions will gradually cool down and fall under the influence of a cyclone, while the southeast will be gripped by real heat. This was reported by Natalia Ptukha, a forecaster at the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, in a comment to UNIAN.
" This week's weather will be similar to last week: cool with rain in the west, dry and very hot in the southeast. Other regions will be between these two zones, with temperature fluctuations ," Ptukha noted.
In the coming nights, the thermometer will fluctuate within +15°…+22°, during the day mostly +29°…+34°. In the south and southeast, the temperature will rise to +37° in places, while in the north and west it will be more modest – from +24° to +30°.
The most noticeable change is expected from July 16–17: in the west, the temperature will drop to +18°…+23°. This is due to the approach of a cyclone from Western Europe, which will be located near the northwestern border of Ukraine. Its atmospheric fronts will bring short-term, and in some places, significant rains to the western regions.
On July 17, thunderstorms may reach the northern and central regions, but other regions will remain in hot, dry air.
On July 18–19, the impact of the cyclone will gradually decrease, but short-term precipitation is still possible in the northern and some western regions. Local thunderstorms are also not ruled out in the southeast.
" But the rest of the territory will be mostly without precipitation. Except for the southeast on the 19th - there may be local thunderstorms there. But for now - only in places ," the forecaster concluded.
