Warm and sunny weather will remain in Ukraine over the weekend, September 13–14. However, a sharp change in the weather forecast is expected starting next week. This was reported by well-known weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
According to her, serious rains and cold snaps will begin on Wednesday, September 17, in the west and north of the country, including Kyiv.
“ The nearest serious rain in the west and north, including Kyiv, and, accordingly, a cold snap is expected on Wednesday, September 17 ,” Didenko noted.
Vira Balabukh, Head of the Department of Applied Meteorology and Climatology of the Ukrhydrometeorological Institute of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, clarified that in general this autumn will be warmer than usual.
According to its forecast, frosts are possible in the northern and western regions as early as September, and even the first snowfalls in the Carpathians. At the same time, average temperatures throughout the fall will exceed the climatic norm. September is expected to be the warmest, but thermometers will also be higher than usual in October and November.
Another characteristic feature of the autumn season will be prolonged rains. Their duration and quantity are still unpredictable.
The meteorologist added that Ukrainians will be able to enjoy Indian summer: after a period of cooling, the average daily temperature will rise again to approximately +15°. However, the exact time and duration of this phenomenon can only be determined five days before its onset.
