The weather in Ukraine on Saturday and Sunday, December 20 and 21, will remain stable and calm. According to weather forecasters, no significant changes in the weather situation are expected in the coming days - an anticyclone will continue to dominate the country. Precipitation is unlikely, and the sky will be mostly cloudy.
This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko. According to her, a typical feature of these days will be fogs, which will most often form at night and in the morning. Due to increased humidity and weak winds, the weather will correspond to late calendar autumn, although winter has already officially come into its own.
The temperature regime during December 20–21 will be moderate. In most regions of Ukraine, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 0 to +4 degrees. In the western and southern regions, the air will warm up more — up to +3…+7 degrees. The highest indicators are predicted in Crimea, where the temperature may reach +9 degrees.
Kyiv will also not experience significant precipitation over the weekend. The daytime temperature in the capital will fluctuate within +1…+3 degrees. Due to cloudiness and possible fog, the feeling of dampness will remain, but overall the weather conditions will be quite comfortable for walks and everyday activities.
The weather forecast for December 21st will not change significantly, but this day has symbolic significance. Sunday marks the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. After that, the night will gradually shorten, and the day will begin to lengthen.
Although these changes are still almost imperceptible, for many they have an important psychological significance. December 21 marks the beginning of a slow but irreversible movement towards spring - a reminder that the light period of the year is already ahead.
