On Sunday, August 17, the weather in Ukraine will be sharply contrasting. The south, east, and most central regions will remain hot and sunny, while the western and northern regions will be covered with rain and thunderstorms.
West
In the west, a cooling to +23°…+27° is expected, only in Transcarpathia - to +29°. Rains and thunderstorms will occur in places, which will bring freshness after the prolonged heat.
North
In the northern regions, the temperature will drop to +24°…+26°, in the Sumy region — to +28°. Precipitation is possible in some places.
East
Eastern Ukraine will remain in the grip of heat: +31°…+32°, no precipitation and mostly clear skies.
Center
Sunny weather is expected in most central regions with temperatures of +30°…+33°. The exception will be Vinnytsia, where temperatures are forecast to be up to +28° and there is a possibility of light rain.
South
In the south, clear and cloudless weather will remain with temperatures of +28°…+33°. This will be one of the hottest regions in the country.
