The State Bureau of Investigation has uncovered another large-scale scheme to undermine mobilization in Ukraine and reported suspicions to members of the military medical commission of the Primorsky RTCC and the Odessa Joint Military District. According to the SBI, the doctors acted in collusion with the organizers of a corruption scheme that was previously exposed by law enforcement officers.
According to the investigation, a local resident involved an employee of the Service Support Center of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an employee of the Primorsky RTCC and SP, as well as two acquaintances in the deal. The dealers offered conscripts to avoid service for 16 thousand US dollars, exchanging documents and money through postal items.
The investigation found that doctors issued "fake" reports on passing the military medical commission without the actual presence of the conscripts. One of the doctors signed documents for himself and other members of the commission, which allowed them to illegally issue deferrals from service.
Currently, four members of the military medical commission have been notified of suspicion of official forgery under Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation has been completed, the indictment has been sent to court. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of up to three years of restriction of liberty. The procedural management was carried out by the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Field of Defense of the Southern Region.
