A terrible tragedy occurred in the village of Maly Berezny in Transcarpathia: during a feast, a 32-year-old woman detonated a grenade, killing three people, including her parents. Only her 14-year-old son survived, who called the police.
On November 29 at 10:39 p.m., the teenager called the police to report the discovery of his grandfather's body. An investigative and operational team, along with forensic experts, arrived at the scene.
In the house, police found the bodies of a 32-year-old woman, her 55-year-old mother, and her 70-year-old father. It was determined that the deceased were drinking alcoholic beverages during a feast when the woman picked up a grenade of unknown origin and set it off.
During a search of the premises, law enforcement officers discovered three more hidden grenades. The ammunition was seized, and its origin is being investigated.
Following the tragedy, the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder). Investigative actions are currently underway to establish the circumstances of the incident and the source of the grenades.
