A modern landfill for solid household waste is planned to be built near the city of Yagotyn in the Kyiv region. The facility will include not only a garbage storage area, but also a sorting line for waste processing with a capacity of 270–300 thousand cubic meters per year.
In addition, an administrative building, a checkpoint, a fire station for two vehicles, a fuel and lubricants warehouse, water treatment facilities, as well as leachate collection and biogas neutralization systems will be equipped on the landfill territory. Such measures should ensure the safe operation of the landfill and environmental protection.
The landfill construction project is mentioned in the announcement of the electronic public procurement system Prozorro. The customer is the communal enterprise of the Yagotynsk City Council “Komunalnik”. The auction to determine the contractor for the development of project documentation is scheduled for November 18, 2025. 4.8 million hryvnias have been allocated for these works, and the finished documents are expected to be received by December 25, 2025.
The landfill is planned to be located outside the village of Raykivshchyna, just half a kilometer from Yagotyn. The project will include an access road, waste storage areas, a sorting line, an administrative building, a fire station, as well as groundwater and environmental protection systems.
Thanks to the new facility, the local community will receive a modern and safe place for recycling and storing household waste.
