A 34-year-old woman will appear in court in Zaporizhia Oblast, accused of organizing a triple murder for selfish motives. According to the Zaporizhia Oblast Prosecutor's Office, the accused tried to eliminate her ex-husband and two of his relatives in order to seize his assets.
The investigation established that the woman intended to take possession of her ex-husband's money, namely 30 million hryvnias. She offered half of this amount to the potential perpetrator as a reward for the murder. According to her criminal plan, after eliminating her husband, the mercenary was to kill two of his relatives in order to eliminate competitors for the inheritance.
Fortunately, the crime was prevented. Law enforcement officers took control of the case and conducted a special operation. In December 2024, the murder of a man and his brother was staged. After that, the woman was detained.
She is currently in custody. An indictment has been filed with the court on the facts of preparing for a robbery and organizing a contract killing for selfish motives (Part 1 of Article 14, Part 3 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 187, Clauses 1, 6, Clause 11 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The woman faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
