Russian troops may be preparing a large-scale attempt to cross the Dnieper River and land on the right bank of the Kherson region. Yuriy Tkachuk, an officer of the Omega special forces unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, said this during a national telethon.
According to the military, up to 300 enemy vessels, including motor boats and pontoon structures, have been spotted on the left bank. This may indicate that the Russians are preparing for an offensive operation across the Dnieper.
"The enemy is withdrawing a significant number of vessels. This is probably an intention to cross the Dnieper and gain a foothold on the right bank," Tkachuk emphasized.
Also, according to him, the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions remain targets of the Russian Federation. This information is confirmed by the intensified artillery shelling of Ukrainian positions and civilian objects in southern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian command is carefully monitoring the situation, tracking the movement of enemy equipment, and preparing for possible actions by Russian forces.
