In Ternopil, police are investigating an attack by a group of teenagers on a schoolgirl. A video of the beating appeared on a Telegram channel and caused outrage on social media.
According to the press service of the Ternopil region's State Emergency Service, law enforcement officers discovered a video while monitoring social networks. It shows several teenagers attacking a girl and causing her bodily harm.
The victim and two attackers have already been identified. The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the conflict and identify other participants in the incident.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism committed by a group of persons. Such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for a term of up to four years.
The police emphasized that such behavior by teenagers will have consequences for both the attackers themselves and their parents.
