In the Volyn region, a man was convicted for leading a group on a social network where he published information about the location of CCC employees, as well as about holding mobilization events. This became known from the verdict of the Kovel City District Court of the Volyn region in case No. 159/7546/24.
According to the case materials, the man was the administrator of a Viber group with over 13,000 subscribers. The accused published information there about the location of CCC representatives and their mobilization activities.
By his actions, he obstructed the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Publications in the messenger complicated or made impossible the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations or significantly reduced their effectiveness.
Thus, by his intentional actions, the man committed a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In court, he pleaded guilty to committing this criminal offense and signed a plea agreement with the prosecutor.
The court released the man from the actual prison sentence with a probationary period of 12 months. The sentence can be appealed in the Volyn Court of Appeal within 30 days.
