People who were fined for not updating their data in the CCC on time and did not pay the fine may have their property confiscated.
All men liable for military service must update their data in the CCC and comply with military registration rules by July 16. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in a fine for conscripts.
If the fine is not paid within 15 days of being imposed, the next step may be confiscation of property. In wartime, this procedure is applied to those who violate military registration rules.
For example, the evader's apartment or house can be seized and sold at an online auction. The fine is deducted from the proceeds, and the rest is returned to the owner.
It is worth noting that confiscation of property in Ukraine is usually not applied if the amount of debt does not exceed UAH 160,000. In such cases, bank accounts are more likely to be seized and blocked.
If the fine for failure to appear at the CCC is not paid, the conscript may be put on the wanted list and/or all of his accounts may be seized.
Criminal liability for evasion of mobilization is also possible in two cases: in case of systematic evasion or if a person, having passed the VLK and being recognized as fit, refuses to perform his duties. In such cases, a criminal case may be initiated under the article “Evading military service during mobilization for a special period”. The punishment under this article can be from 3 to 5 years of imprisonment, depending on the severity of the crime.
