People's deputy and chairman of the parliamentary committee on economic development, Dmytro Natalukha, said on the "1+1" broadcast that in Ukraine, the amount of "shadow economic reservation" during the mobilization is estimated from $700 million to $2 billion per year. According to him, these sums represent bribes that Ukrainians pay to avoid military service.
Scales of bribery
Natalukha emphasized that these figures are the most adequate estimates at the moment. He emphasized that the problem of "shadow economic reservation" has a significant scale, and it creates serious challenges for the system of mobilization and defense capability of the country.
The process of mobilization in Ukraine
Against the background of active mobilization in Ukraine, which continues until July 16, conscripts must update their data. According to Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Kateryna Chernogorenko, the General Staff of the Armed Forces determines mobilization needs based on certain criteria, such as professional skills, age and lack of reservations. After that, the TCC and SP form lists for sending out summonses, and the further process includes data clarification and passing the military medical commission (MMC).
