The modern Ukrainian labor market demonstrates a growing demand for highly qualified specialists. Among the most in demand are English teachers and deminers, who receive some of the highest salaries in the country.
The number of vacancies for English teachers is consistently high, and salaries often exceed the market average. You can find hundreds of offers for such specialists on recruitment portals.
- IT companies are willing to pay English teachers from UAH 27,800 to UAH 44,500 for teaching children aged 4 to 13.
- Foreign language schools offer an even wider range – from 15,000 to 52,000 UAH, but require a language proficiency level of at least Advanced and experience working with adults.
- Foreign language centers offer salaries of up to UAH 50,000, emphasizing the ability to plan lessons and a high level of language proficiency.
The lack of higher philological education is not always an obstacle - the main criterion is real competence and pedagogical approach.
Along with traditional professions, new specialties are emerging in Ukraine. According to the Ministry of Economy, the list has been expanded by 50 new positions. Among them:
- An explosives detection operator (deminer) is one of the highest-paid professions. In the civilian sector, salaries for sappers can reach 72,000 UAH.
- In the defense sector, the rates are even higher – up to UAH 190,000 per month.
In addition to deminers, the following have become in demand:
- Nutritionists who create individualized meal plans;
- Medical statistics professionals;
- Critical infrastructure protection specialists;
- Sports activity managers.
The dynamics of the Ukrainian labor market indicate a change in priorities and the emergence of new professions adapted to modern challenges. The demand for English teachers remains stable, which is associated with globalization and the need for knowledge of foreign languages. At the same time, new professions related to security and protection reflect the realities of wartime.
