The combined income of the ten largest banks in Ukraine increased by 14% in 2024, reaching UAH 267.2 billion. State-owned banks, in particular PrivatBank and Oschadbank, remain the leaders in terms of financial indicators.
State-owned banks provided 68% of the total income of the top 10, collecting UAH 182.15 billion. The best result was shown by PrivatBank, whose income amounted to UAH 110.51 billion. The chairman of the bank's board, Mikael Björknert, emphasized that 2024 was a period of development and stability for the institution.
Oschadbank showed the fastest growth among state-owned banks — its revenue increased 1.6 times, and its profit tripled. Ukreximbank also showed significant growth, its revenue increased by 40%. At the same time, Sense Bank recorded a 14% drop in revenue, and its profit decreased by 24%.
Three foreign banks from the top 10 earned UAH 47.52 billion, which is 18% of total income. OTP Bank showed the best result among them - its profit increased by 11%. At the same time, Raiffeisen and Ukrsibbank recorded a decrease in profits by 11% and 6%, respectively.
Private banks also showed positive dynamics. Universal Bank (Mono) increased its income by 22%, and FUIB by 14%. The FUIB press service noted that the bank grew by 25% across all key indicators, and retail lending increased by 65%.
The only change in the ranking of the top 10 banks was the entry of the state-owned Ukreximbank, which displaced the foreign Credit Agricole from the list, which dropped to 11th place.
Overall, despite the challenges, the Ukrainian banking system has shown growth and financial resilience. State-owned banks continue to dominate, while private and foreign banks demonstrate solid performance.
