Tragedy at the border: border guards in Zakarpattia region shot a man who tried to cross the border illegally

In a forest near the village of Luky in Rakhiv district of Transcarpathia, border guards shot a man who tried to illegally cross the border of Ukraine. This is reported by the mass media, citing information from law enforcement agencies.

"Yesterday, May 15, at 9:00 p.m., a team of border guards noticed an unknown person near the state border in the forest near the village of Luky, Rakhiv district. In order to detain the offender, the border guards fired several warning shots. During the inspection of the scene, a man was found with a gunshot wound to the head. It turned out that he was a resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region, born in 1983," the source said.

It is also noted that the State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation into this incident.
