The tragic event happened on Monday, June 23, near the village of Shevchenkovo, Khmelnytsky district. A 12-year-old resident was killed on a Suzuki moped on a railway crossing. The incident was informed by the police press service of Khmelnytsky region.
According to preliminary information, at about 2:00 pm the boy tried to cross the railway track on an unregulated crossing. At this point, a drum, led by a 39-year-old man, moved on the railway race-Yarmolyntsi. As a result of the collision, the child was injured and died on the spot.
Police launched a pre -trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the rules of safety of traffic or operation of railway transport, which led to the death of a person. Investigative actions are currently underway, the circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
