On June 24, the bodies of two people - the couple aged 60 and 58 years - were found in the center of Lviv. According to preliminary data, the cause of their death could be carbon monoxide. The Lviv City Council reported about it.
The tragedy happened in an apartment on Valova Street, 13/11. The couple was already dead, but the pets that were in the home were alive. The final circumstances of the incident are now being clarified, experts in the relevant services work.
Recall that carbon monoxide (carbon monoxide) is especially dangerous, because it has neither smell nor color, so it is difficult to detect without special equipment. Experts recommend installing contamination signaling in rooms where there are gas appliances, as well as ensure proper ventilation. It is especially important to monitor the serviceability of smoke and ventilation ducts - they must be separated and the ventilation can not be connected to the ventilation canal.
The main symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include severe headache, weakness, drowsiness, dizziness and nausea. In the event of these symptoms, it is necessary to immediately stop the use of gas appliances, get out into fresh air and call an ambulance and emergency service.
