On April 7, a tragedy occurred in Kyiv. A 16-year-old boy died as a result of the incident.
According to the information received, a group of 9 young minors bought soft drinks on Kontraktova Square and decided to spend time on the embankment, and then took the funicular to continue walking along Khreshchatyk.
Eyewitness testimony shows that during the stop of the wagon at one of the stops, a conflict took place between young people and an unknown man. The man spoke aggressively, asked obscene questions, among which was a question about the readiness of young men to defend the Motherland. Eyewitnesses describe the man as an unstable person.
Maksym, one of the members of the group of teenagers, was the last to get out of the trailer. An unknown man approached him and started brazenly demanding answers to his questions, pushing him. This led to the fact that Maksym fell, breaking the glass of the wagon and getting cuts on his neck.
After that, the attacker pounced on Maxim and started strangling him.
As a result, the glass cut the carotid artery and the young man died on the spot. It is reported that blood flooded the stairs and the funicular was stopped for some time.
It is known that the name of the person who committed the attack is Kosov A.V. According to the report, two weeks ago he became a suspect in a domestic violence case.
The attacker has now been detained, and investigations are ongoing. It turned out that he worked for law enforcement agencies. When he was detained, his identity card and service weapon were found.
The detained law enforcement officer has already been removed from duty. Now a complex of operational and investigative actions is being conducted. He is being prepared to be charged with premeditated murder in accordance with Article 115, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
A man can face from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
