A deadly tragedy has occurred in the village of Bilogorodka, Kyiv region. A man, a woman, and their 11-year-old daughter were found dead in a private townhouse. Their 4-year-old son was hospitalized in critical condition. According to preliminary data, the family was poisoned by carbon monoxide.
The incident was reported to the Kyiv Oblast Police. According to law enforcement officers, neighbors raised the alarm when they noticed that the family had not been in touch for a long time. Upon entering the house, they came across the bodies of the deceased and immediately called the police and an ambulance.
Police determined that a 56-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and their 11-year-old daughter were killed. Their youngest son, a 4-year-old boy, was also in the building in critical condition and showing signs of severe dehydration. The child was rushed to a hospital, where doctors are fighting for his life.
The preliminary cause of the tragedy is carbon monoxide poisoning, presumably caused by a malfunction of the gas heating boiler. Final conclusions will be made by specialists after examinations and a technical inspection of the equipment.
The police have opened a criminal case into the deaths of three people. Investigators are investigating all the circumstances and causes of the tragedy.
