Tragedy in Odessa region: 16-year-old boy dies while taking pictures with a gun

A tragic incident occurred in a village in the Odessa region - a 16-year-old boy died from a gunshot wound while taking photos with a gun in a quarry. Police are treating the case as a homicide due to negligence and are conducting an examination.

The report of the boy's death came from a resident of one of the villages of the Podil community on the night of March 8.

The investigative and operational group of the territorial police unit for the settlement discovered the body of a young man with a gunshot wound to the chest. The police have previously established that in the evening two local 16-year-old boys went to the quarry to shoot with a gun. There, while taking pictures, the young man, who was posing with a gun, accidentally pulled the trigger, and a shot was fired. As a result, his friend received a gunshot wound and died.

Investigators sent the boy's body for a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
