Trump plans to hold talks between Ukraine and Russia on his first day in office

Donald Trump promised that if he returns to the White House, he will make negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow a priority. In addition, Republican press secretary Carolyn Leavitt said Trump intends to initiate peace talks on his first day in office if he is elected president in 2024.

According to her, now Trump will be able to "negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine."

"This includes, on day one, bringing Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table to end this war," Leavitt said on Fox News.

Note that the first day of Trump's inauguration will be January 20, when he will be inaugurated.

We will remind that the elected president of the USA has already called Zelensky and Putin separately.
