Former PayPal COO David Sachs, known for his criticism of military aid to Ukraine, is leaving for a key position in Donald Trump's administration. Sachs will be responsible for the development of policy in the field of artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency, receiving the status of the so-called "tsar" on these issues.
"He will work to create a legal framework so that the crypto industry gets the clarity it has long asked for and can thrive in the US," Trump wrote on his Truth Social social network.
Sachs repeatedly criticized American aid to Ukraine and called for an end to the war. Elon Musk often agreed with his posts on this topic.
In particular, Sachs said that Biden "provoked" Putin to attack Ukraine, and then did not allow peace to be concluded in the spring of 2022.
"Now the war has been going on for the third year and there is no end in sight. Hundreds of thousands of people died. Hundreds of billions of our taxpayer dollars have gone down the drain. President Biden sold us this new perpetual war, promising that it would weaken Russia and strengthen America. And what does it look like today? Russia's armed forces are larger than before, while our own reserves are dangerously depleted. "Every day there are new calls for escalation, and the world is watching in horror as Joe Biden's insane policies bring us to the brink of World War III," Sachs said.
