Trump nominated Pam Bondi to be the head of the US Department of Justice

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States and the leader of the Republican Party, announced the nomination of the prosecutor of the state of Florida Pam Bondi to the position of the head of the Department of Justice of the United States. This comes after Congressman Matt Goetz withdrew his candidacy for the position.

CNN believes Bond has a much better chance of passing Senate approval than Goetz did.

During Donald Trump's first term, Bondi led his defense in the impeachment trial after his phone conversation with Zelensky in 2019.

During this conversation, Democrats claimed, Trump asked Zelensky to help investigate the Biden family's corruption ties in Ukraine.

Speaking in Congress, Pam Bondi described in detail the ties of Biden's son with Ukraine. She stated that his position at the Ukrainian gas production company Burisma "was part of the corruption" of the then Vice President Biden.

Bondi then dedicated a half-hour speech to Ukraine at the hearing. And as the American mass media write, she understood this issue quite deeply.
