US President Donald Trump has expressed concern about the financial obligations of European countries in support of Ukraine. In his opinion, Europe should significantly increase its financial investments, and the US is already using significant costs for assistance to Ukraine.
During a meeting with India Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in the White House, Trump stressed that the United States is planning to allocate an additional $ 200 billion to support Ukraine. He stated that the European Union and NATO should take on most of the financial costs. According to the President, the United States already supports a disproportionate part of financial obligations in this context.
He also stressed that Ukraine's support for the United States is becoming increasingly burdensome, and other European countries are not fulfilling their obligations.
“We had negotiations, and we said the European Union, we said NATO, mostly: you will have to pay more money, because what we do is unfairly… We are probably putting more than $ 200 billion more in Ukraine, using Ukraine to fight Ukraine, and Europe has not actually done its part. It's not an asset, but we want to see the opposite balance. We want them to put more money. They have to do it, ”Trump said.
He also expressed his desire to see greater financial responsibility from European countries, emphasizing that they should invest more money to help Ukraine.
