In the Kharkiv region, three teenagers filmed a provocative photo at a memorial in Drobitsky Yar, where the symbolism of the Nazi regime was publicly demonstrated. About it reports police of Kharkiv region.
On April 23, a post with a photo appeared in the Telegram messenger, at which three unknown at the place of memory of the Holocaust victims posed with Nazi gestures. The Memorial in the Drobitsky Yar is one of the key places of honoring the memory of the victims of Nazi crimes in the territory of Ukraine.
Police have already opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 436-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (production, distribution of Nazi symbolism and propaganda of Nazism). The sanction provides up to 5 years in prison, with or without confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officers take measures to identify the persons who appear in the photo. The police stressed that such actions are not only immoral but also punished by law.
We will remind, Drobitsky Yar is the place of mass executions of civilians, in particular the Jews, during the Second World War. The memorial, built in the memory of the tragedy, is attended by relatives of the dead and participants of memorial events.
