Three drunk young people beat passers -by on Khreshchatyk

In the heart of Kiev, on Khreshchatyk Street, a loud clash was held with the participation of three young men. All of them were intoxicated, aggressively behaved and provoked casual passers -by. In the end, this ended with a brutal beating of two people and the attachment of attackers.

According to Kyiv police, it all started with an attack on a 21-year-old resident of the capital, who returned home late in the evening. The young people first began a verbal altercation, then attacked him with their fists.

When another passerby, a 37-year-old man, made the attackers comments, they switched their aggression to him. He was overthrown on the ground and beaten, without letting it up. Witnesses called the police, and one of the attackers managed to be delayed just in place. The other two were detained a little later.

According to the investigation, all three are residents of Kiev aged 19 to 22 years. It is noteworthy that two of them already have convictions for similar offenses.

Currently, all three have been suspected under Part 3 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - hooliganism committed by a group of persons with the use of violence and resistance to citizens who tried to stop the offense. The sanction of this article provides for up to 5 years in prison.

Police emphasize the inadmissibility of aggression in public places and urges citizens to report such incidents immediately.
