Ukrainian athlete Yaroslav Maguchikh continues to strike the world arena. On April 26, in the Chinese city, Symen won the first stage of the prestigious Diamond League tournament, conquering 1.97 meters.
Four athletes - two from Ukraine (Maguchih and Yulia Levchenko) and two representatives of Australia (Nicola Olislagers and Eleonor Patterson) participated in the height of women. The competitions began with a height of 1.79 m and ended on a bar of 1.97 m. It was this height that only Yaroslav Maguchikh could overcome.
The video published by "Public Sport" shows how a Ukrainian skillfully flies through the bar, barely touching her sneakers. The attempt at 2.03 m was unsuccessful, but the result of 1.97 m provided her with a gold award.
Other athletes remained behind: Australian Eleonor Patterson took a height of 1.94 m, but did not cope with 1.97 m, and her compatriot Nicola Olislagers during an attempt at 1.97 m could not even repel. Yulia Levchenko became the fourth.
According to "Public", this victory was for the magicians already 20 at the stages of the "Diamond League" and the ninth in a row. The last Ukrainian woman was inferior in the stages in 2023.
