In 2025, Ukraine will introduce the "Package of the wounded" for the military

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the implementation in 2025 of a new initiative to support wounded servicemen. It is about issuing special "Packages of the wounded", which will be provided to defenders undergoing treatment in medical institutions.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General of Justice Serhiy Melnyk, noted that the priority directions for 2025 remain the improvement of the food system and the introduction of additional financial incentives for the military.

"These initiatives are only part of the systemic changes we plan to implement. They are designed not only to support our military today, but also to create a basis for their protection, development and a secure future," Melnyk said.

Reform of the disability verification system

Resolution No. 1338 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated November 15 approved new approaches to the process of assessing a person's daily functioning, which will be implemented from January 1, 2025.

This reform involves the introduction of electronic referral to the expert evaluation team.

The Ministry of Health noted that thanks to the electronic system, the patient's path to receiving a decision will be shorter. Important procedures for many are also simplified: establishing or extending disability, as well as updating an individual rehabilitation program.
