In Chernivtsi, on the night of July 29-30, the UPA flag was stolen from the flagpole of a house on Skalda Street. The incident caused a wide response among the city's residents and became a topic of discussion in the media.
"While monitoring social networks, police officers discovered a post that three unknown persons stole the UPA flag from the flagpole of a house in Chernivtsi on the night of July 29-30," the police said.
It is noted that this is a building on Skalda Street.
On the spot, the law enforcement officers carried out urgent first-order search measures and quickly identified the offenders "on hot tracks", the police said.
"They turned out to be three local residents, aged 23. The police seized material evidence of the involvement of Chernivtsi residents in illegal actions," the message reads.
According to the specified fact, information was entered into the EDPR under Part 1 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
