An earthquake occurred in the Chernivtsi district in the morning

This morning, underground shocks were recorded in the Chernivtsi region. According to the main center of special control, the earthquake happened at 05:15:12 in the area of settlements Kolk and Hrushevka, in the Chernivtsi district.

The magnitude of the underground shocks was 2.3 points on the Richter scale, and the epicenter was at a depth of 2 km.

According to the classification of experts, it is a barely tangible earthquake. Such shocks usually do not cause destruction and often go unnoticed by most people. At the same time, this is not the first case of fixation of seismic activity in Bukovina - the region enters the area where weak earthquakes may occur due to tectonic features of the Carpathian region.

According to preliminary data, no destruction or victims have been recorded as a result of this earthquake.
