The husband of TV presenter Olga Freymut Russian-Kazakh origin and education in Moscow

Ukrainian TV presenter Olga Freymut, who has lived with his family in London since the beginning of the full -scale war, said that her husband, the exquigion of the New Channel, Vladimir Lokotko, has a Russian passport. She confessed this in an interview with Ramini Aeshakzai.

According to Freymut, Lokotko was not born in Russia, but spent some of his life there. It has Russian-Kazakh origin and was previously Russian. Now, says the TV presenter, the husband has completely switched to Ukrainian and communicates with his wife and children. In the family, according to Olga, she personally monitors only Ukrainian.

However, despite the change of language and place of residence, Lokotko still owns a Russian passport. According to Freymut, it is not easy to give up: “He needs to go to another country to take some help. People who have a Russian passport cannot just give it up, even if they want. ”

The TV presenter also stressed that her husband was under Russian sanctions, and in the event of a return to the Russian Federation, he would be threatened with arrest. In 2019, the sanctions from the Lokotka were lifted.

Volodymyr Lokotko was born in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan), received his higher education in Russia, worked in Gazprom Media, and has lived in Ukraine since 2006. In 2012–2019 he headed the New Channel, where he met Freymut. The couple married in 2017, raising two children.

Currently, Lokotko, according to Olga, is engaged in media business. "He is well," the TV presenter summarized.
