Energy experts warn of worsening weather conditions in Ukraine, especially in the Kyiv and Odesa regions, during January 7-9, which may lead to complications in the work of energy companies. According to DTEK, energy companies have already introduced enhanced safety measures to eliminate possible accidents.
Residents are also being urged to reduce their electricity consumption during peak hours due to the expected worsening of the weather. The Kyiv City Military Administration warns of a drop in air temperature to 13-18 degrees of frost at night and to 8-13 degrees of frost during the day, which may lead to complications in the work of energy enterprises.
Currently, there is no shortage of electricity in the power system, but the public is asked to use electricity rationally, especially during peak hours from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00. Citizens are also asked to refrain from non-essential travel in case of worsening weather conditions.
Information is also provided about events related to worsening weather conditions, in particular, power outages in Donetsk region, disconnection of power lines in Kharkiv region, and other cases that require increased attention.
In addition, traffic on eight routes may be restricted due to worsening weather conditions, and the public is advised to refrain from non-essential travel and be prepared for possible road disruptions. Drivers are advised to have extra fuel and skid chains in such weather conditions. It is also important to follow information updates and follow the instructions of energy and security services.
