The head of the Western Commercial Court of Appeal, Maxim Zhalik, fell the attention of investigative bodies after he found more than $ 271 thousand in cash. It became known from the case file related to the Judge of the Commercial Court of Lviv region Vasyl Artimovich, the exchanging of the same court of the same court Mikhail Yurkevich and the former head of the registry office Bohdan Plotnitsky.
According to the investigation, during the search, Zhelik seized $ 271.6 thousand, of which 100 thousand were officially declared, the rest under arrest.
In addition to cash, detectives paid attention to the contents of the Zelik smartphone. In particular, chats were found in WhatsApp with the defendants of the case - the judges of the mentioned commercial courts. Part of the correspondence was cleared or contained the function of auto -disposal of messages, which automatically causes additional suspicions. Calls between Zelik and Artimovich were also recorded, as well as references to a personal meeting.
Despite these findings, the suspicion was not officially announced. However, sources indicate that his contacts with other persons involved in the case are a reasonable interest in law enforcement.
This story becomes another confirmation of how closely the individual representatives of the judicial branch in the regions are. And at the same time, it is difficult to prove guilt, even when hundreds of thousands of dollars are found in cash and strange correspondence.
So far, Maxim Zhalik remains as the head of the registry office, but the events around him can change the situation in the near future - everything will depend on the results of the investigation.
