In Kharkiv, a man killed a friend because of jealousy

In Kharkiv, police detained a 43-year-old local resident who is suspected of killing a friend. The incident happened on May 6 in the Kholodnogorsk district of the city, police reported in the region.

According to preliminary data, there was a quarrel between men on the basis of jealousy. During the conflict, the suspect grabbed a shovel and began to beat a 47-year-old victim on his head. After he fell, the attacker threw him out of the second floor window.

The doctors who arrived at the scene stated the death of the victim. Law enforcement officers promptly established the location of the attacker and detained it.

Currently, criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is a deliberate grievous bodily harm that caused the victim's death . The attacker faces up to 10 years in prison.

Investigative actions are ongoing, the police establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
