Hepatitis and salmonellosis are spreading massively in Kharkiv

Alarming statistics for January 2024 were published on February 28 by the Kharkiv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

The number of hepatitis cases in the region is 3.5 times higher than last year's figure for the same period and almost 10 times the figure for 2021!

In the structure of infectious diseases (excluding influenza and acute respiratory viral infections), the incidence of viral hepatitis is currently 43.1%, which is a very high indicator.

Also, significantly more people became sick with salmonellosis - by 70.8%, acute intestinal infections with an unknown pathogen - by 44.3%, tuberculosis - by 42.6%, whooping cough - by 2 times, Lyme disease - by 2.1 times, for infectious mononucleosis - 3 times.
