In Kharkiv, they plan to build an underground city with an area of ​​236 thousand m²

An underground city with an area of ​​236 thousand m2 may appear in Kharkiv. The project plans to accommodate schools, a park, hospitals, shopping centers and co-working. This was announced by Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.

According to him, the city is looking for investors to build a safe underground space. 225 million euros are needed in advance.

“A school, medical facilities, parking lots, coworking spaces, and shopping centers will be built there. It is very important that people feel safe,” Terekhov said.

The underground center is planned to be built in the central part of the city. It will be accessible from the metro station, and a park area will be arranged on the surface.
