In Kharkiv detained a frauds

In Kharkiv detained a man who created a fake Telegram-channel and deceived the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war, promising help in their return home. The attacker issued himself as a volunteer who was exchanging prisoners, and through this channel he made money from the victims. He assured families that have ties with Russian representatives and can "resolve the exchange issue", for which he took tens of thousands of hryvnias.

The fraudster continued to demand new amounts, referring to "unforeseen circumstances" and thus managed to take possession of considerable amounts. The attacker was detained during a special operation conducted by the SBU and the National Police.

He had mobile phones and bank cards that he received money from victims. The man has already been informed of suspicion of large fraud, he faces up to 8 years in prison.
