In Kovel collided a minibus and a car, eight people were injured

On the evening of May 16 at about 7:00 pm, a large-scale road accident occurred in Kovel in Volyn, which injured eight people. This was reported in the police of Volyn region.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred as a result of a violation of the rules of travel of the minor road: the 53-year-old driver of the Renault minibus, leaving from the minor journey, did not give an advantage in the movement of the Audi car, at the wheel of which the 18-year-old girl was at the wheel. There was a collision that resulted in both vehicles.

Eight victims, three - in hospital

As a result of an accident, both drivers were injured and hospitalized. Six passengers were also injured - three of them were taken to the hospital, and three more were provided at the scene.

Law enforcement officers, rescuers and doctors worked on the spot. Police investigators opened criminal proceedings under Article 286 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - a violation of traffic safety rules, which caused injuries to the victims.

A pre -trial investigation is currently underway, which clarifies all the circumstances and causes of the car accident.
