The Kremlin has hinted at new attacks on Ukraine's energy objects

Despite public agreements with Donald Trump and the declared moratorium on attacks on energy facilities, Russia officially announced the end of the truce. On April 18, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said "the moon had passed, but the president did not give new instructions." Formally - allegedly end, informal - the end was from the beginning.

We will remind, after the sidelines of Trump and Putin, the parties agreed on a 30-day rejection of attacks on energy infrastructure. Ukraine agreed first. Russia is formally too, but within an hour it hit a critical object in Slavyansk.

Nevertheless, US special representative Steve Witcoff escaped direct criticism of the Kremlin, but instead stated that there was no confirmation of the violation. But in Ukraine such "confirmations" - with excess. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that for at least 30 attacks on energy facilities for the period of "truce".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs George Tykhy noted that the transformers damaged in the Nikolaev, Kherson regions, as well as power lines in the Central Region. All cases, according to the diplomat, were recorded and transferred to partners in the EU and international organizations.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also acknowledged that the intensity of energy attacks has indeed decreased, but the number of shelling on civil infrastructure was not in general. “Drones, missiles, including ballistic, continue. There were no less, ”he said.

While the official Moscow openly declares the end of the moratorium, in Kiev it is called another deception. In reality, Russia did not keep promises, and today - simply legalized its attacks. The Kremlin, once again demonstrating disdain for diplomatic agreements, tries to shift responsibility to Ukraine. Peskov stated that the Armed Forces had not adhered to the ban and "provoked" Moscow.

While Putin is silently supporting energy terror, and the world pretends not to see the obvious - the Ukrainian infrastructure continues to be targeted for rockets and drones. And even the formal end of the truce does not change the fact: it has not begun.
