In Kiev, a lawsuit will begin against a man who, according to the investigation, raped and killed a 69-year-old pensioner. The crime occurred in August 2024 in the Svyatoshinsky district of the city, where a woman's body was found in the green area. As the examination was later established, the victim was not only strangled, but also raped, causing it numerous damage to the internal organs.
According to representatives of the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office, the man threatens a sentence of 15 years in prison or life imprisonment. According to investigators, the pensioner had a meeting with a friend who in 2005 was convicted of rape and theft in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. After the man was released earlier, he again entered the crime path.
The incident happened when the suspect invited a woman on a date, gave her flowers, bought products on the market and treated with alcohol. During the rest of the outdoors, there was a conflict between them, during which he raped a woman and then strangled her. After committing the crime, the man covered the body with a blanket and fled home.
The case was completed and the indictment was sent to court for substance.
