A shooting hotel occurred at the Kiev Hotel: an armed man was detained

On the morning of May 14, a shooting occurred in one of the Kiev hotels. According to police, no one was injured as a result of the incident, and the arrow managed to hold promptly.

The report of an armed man was received at about 9am. Special forces and an investigative team were immediately arrived at the scene. The man resisted, but was detained without the use of firearms.

Eyewitnesses and publications on social networks claim that the detainee was armed with an automatic AR-15 rifle and a gun. The motives of his actions are now being clarified. According to preliminary data, the suspect was at the hotel as a guest, but suddenly began to behave aggressively, causing the administration to call the police.

Criminalists, weapons and other material evidence were removed at the scene. The detainee is established that the issue of opening criminal proceedings is resolved.

Police promise to provide additional information after completing priority investigative actions.
