Following reports of hepatitis A outbreak in the Solomenskiy district of Kyiv, fears of possible contamination through drinking water spread among the residents. However, Kyivvodokanal states that the quality of water supplied to the people of Kiev meets all sanitary standards, and information about its contamination is not confirmed by any research.
According to the company, the results of laboratory analyzes, including government agencies, found no deviations. Water quality is controlled around the clock at all stages - from treatment plants to the distribution network, including the sampling points in the residential areas of the capital.
In particular, in Solomenskiy district, water samples were selected immediately after the first reports of the disease. All the results of the analyzes, including samples from Schalimov streets, installers, Vasylenko and others, confirmed the compliance of drinking water with normative requirements.
For preventive purposes, Kyivvodokanal also carried out additional washing of water supply networks in a number of houses of the district. Repeated testing again did not find any dangerous indicators.
At the same time, the company emphasizes that the deterioration of water quality can occur not in the centralized network, but in home pipes. The internal networks are responsible for their balancing holders - ZhEKs, ACMHs or private owners. They are advised to regularly wash water supply systems.
We will remind, on May 22 in the Park "Oboradny" opened a test of testing for hepatitis A. at the Kiev Center for Control and Disease Prevention that an epidemiological investigation was ongolemiological in order to establish a source of infection. However, tap water is already excluded as a risk factor.
