In Kiev, a man who stole 300 thousand hryvnias was detained from a woman who met through a dating site. After theft, he ordered a taxi and went to Odessa. The incident was reported in Kyiv police.
As militiamen found out, the woman met a 30-year-old man online. He later moved to her live. However, a month later, the cohabitant disappeared - in the evening he did not return home, stopped answering calls, and all the savings of the mistress disappeared from the apartment.
“We found that the attacker took 300 thousand hryvnias, called a taxi and went to the city of Odessa. Thanks to the coordinated work of the police, we detained it the next day. Some of the money was withdrawn, the rest was spent on taxi and their own needs, ”said the head of the Shevchenkivsky Police Department Igor Padyuk.
The detainee has already been reported suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - theft committed in the conditions of martial law. He faces up to eight years in prison.
The court chose a measure of restraint - detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 302 800 UAH.
